THE EBERHARDTS ~ BIO

The Eberhardts
1731 New Street NE
Conyers, GA 30012

"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:19, 20. This scripture describes The Eberhardts exactly. This female trio believes in love, laughter and the exultant joy of song. Even as Miriam took a timbrel and sang and danced unto the Lord after He brought the children of Israel across the Red Sea on dry land, so it is with The Eberhardts.

Isaiah 12:5 states, "Sing unto the Lord: for He hath done excellent things….Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee." Zion has always been known for singing! Rachel Eberhardt exclaims, "This is one reason The Eberhardts are so proud to be with Zion Music Group. We love the name and what it stands for. We are also glad to be with Kevin and Beverly McManus, who are two of the best in the Southern Gospel Industry."

The Eberhardts are proud of their family heritage. On The Eberhardts first project entitled "Victorious" four generations are present ranging from age 84 to age 2. Bishop Grady Eberhardt (age 84) and his wife Gervaise Eberhardt (age 77) are the first generation. Their children Rachel, Rebecca, Danny (Rebecca's husband), Tiffany Morris, Ashley and Linda Vaughn are from the second generation. Their children Samuel and Madelyn, Candi and Crystal, Lydia and LaRae are part of the third generation. The fourth generation consists of Jake and Annabeth (Candi and Edward Walden's children) and Elijah and Savannah (Crystal and Robert Fortner's children). Many of these family members play various instruments and all are active in The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Milstead, Georgia. Rachel, Rebecca, Tiffany, Candi and Crystal at times find it difficult to attend their home church, however, because of singing at concerts, homecomings, weddings and anniversary services.

Formerly known as "Angel Band", the group had its first charting single on the Singing News Top 80 in 1988 with the song "I Choose To Be A Christian". The single went all the way to number 19. Since that time the group has done ten projects and now the group known as The Eberhardts (consisting of Rachel, Rebecca, and Tiffany) have out a new single entitled "It's My Blood" from the project "Dance In Advance" that has debuted on the USGN Top 100 at #98.

Rachel Eberhardt writes most of their songs which are inspired and entwined with the teachings of her father, Bishop Eberhardt. The sweetest and most gentle man, Bishop Eberhardt has pastored his church in Milstead, Georgia for 47 years.

Listening to The Eberhardts one might hear a little "ole time" country gospel or a little contemporary gospel, but most likely one would hear traditional Southern Gospel Music. Whatever style comes through in their music, they know that the love of Jesus will be heard. Listen and enjoy.
